Saturday 24 November 2001 was our launch day. We were at the Angel Place Shopping Centre thanks to the Manager Ian Harris. Orchard FM were there to help us give out our leaflets and the 1st copy of our Newsletter.
We gave out 500 Newsletters and these were warmly welcomed by the shoppers who took interest in what we are trying to achieve.
Pictured above is Sheila who is presenting Robert with a cheque for £275.20p following a sponsored walk from Bridgwater to North Petherton and back in support of the Brain Tumour - South West Charity. Well done and thank you.
Throughout the morning we were surprised and happy with the number of people who stopped and chatted and we were also surprised by how many people within the town have suffered or knew someone who has had a Brain Tumour and this gives us great encouragement that what we are doing is going to be a great help.
If this is the response we got just in Bridgwater we look forward to spreading the word around the South West and beyond, We are going to be able to do this with the help of you and with this Web Site.
